Helix Sunset Hybrid Mattress Review

Pretty good

This bed is pretty great. I don't wake up with any back or shoulder pain from being a side sleeper. I thought that this mattress would be a little softer and I would be able to sink into it like a cloud, but I guess that means I still have to break it in. Can notice a difference when I sleep on another bed with a memory foam topper and I wake up with sore muscles. Would recommend to others. —Michele J

Most solid sleep I've had in a very long time!

I've had a pleasant experience with all things Helix! Our first mattress we ordered was after taking the sleep quiz. That mattress was comfortable but I was still having some back issues. We had no trouble having the mattress replaced, but it was a little time consuming. We were prepared to purchase a new one before we were able to receive the refund after the first mattress was moved. Our second mattress, the Sunset, came just as quickly as the first and I've never slept so soundly! Such a comfortable mattress. I sleep hot, usually, but I've only had to adjust the blankets in order to stay comfortable. The mattress doesn't hold my heat in much. I can roll around in the middle of the night to change positions (which only happens once or twice now instead of throughout the whole night) and not significant other doesn't feel a twitch (we bought a king). Helix Midnight Hybrid Mattress Review

I’ll keep it

When we went looking for a new mattress we started at all foam. We tried a few other beds and the closest we got was Casper. Though we thought after a few months the Casper would of been very nice, what those foam mattresses can’t seem to beat is well because of the heat. Reluctant to springs we tried the Helix this isn’t that review saying how Helix changed my life. We like it. That’s all. There is some compromise to the feeling of springs and I get less pressure relief with it. You feel the springs on the side of the bed which doesn’t affect sleep but just doesn’t give that feeling of a 1000 mattress. But we are sleeping at night and not burning up. So we are like, “Cool. Let’s keep it.” It doesn’t feel like a cloud from heaven and this bed hasn’t brought back any of my dead loved ones like sometimes I read in reviews, but it’s good. —Jonathan G

Cuddle Me to Sleep

This mattress is surprising in a lot of ways. Firstly, how it comes packaged you wouldn't think it'd have springs, but it does! Surprise~ I'm constantly amazed by how well these things are packed. I wish they could help with my luggage sometime,Unpacking was a breeze so set up was easy. Initially I thought the bed was too soft, but that's coming from someone who was sleeping on the ground for a few months. After re-acclimating to normal human standards of bed sleeping, this mattress felt like a dream. It has just the right amount of give to support your heavier bits, but firm enough to jump back to contour to your lighter sides. The result, it feels like you're sleeping in a hug from The Rock if he were wearing a memory foam fat suit (Disclaimer: I have not been hugged by this aforementioned individual.) The mattress does a pretty good job of dispersing heat, but it's warmer than the ground. Go figure. All in all, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. —Patrick b

Helix Nightfall Hybrid Mattress Review

Best sleep in a long time

The return policy of Helix made this a relatively risk free test. I will admit it took a couple nights to get used to. Our old pillow top mattress was in much worse shape than we thought. First the back pain went away and the better quality sleep came with it. My wife found this mattress perfect. I found it just slightly to stiff. After contacting Helix customer support they sent a topper to adjust the firmness. This made the mattresses absolutely perfect. I still don’t get as much sleep as I should die to reasons not involving the mattress. The sleep I do get though is soo much better though that it almost makes up for it. I have no regrets of purchasing this mattress except that I should have done it sooner. —Patrick k

soft yet supportive

This matters is a great before i was waking up with a sore back and couldnt move now i get better sleep and don’t wake up sore i read a lot of review and have never tried a ship to home in box matters only complaint i have is the smell you for sure want to let it out a few day i tried sleep on it the first few night where so bad i couldn’t sleep and started coughing so for sure air out the bed the smells gone now and is a Great balance between soft and supportive. I'm a pretty big guy I’m 230 lbs and 5 foot 7 in its nice to find a mattress that can hold up and support me. —Todd B

Helix Twilight Hybrid Mattress Review

Cool & Exceptionally Comfortable

We've had the Helix Twilight mattress for 2.5 months and are very happy with it. The foam provides a nice balance between soft/firm that meets my needs (firm/back sleeper) and those of my partner's (soft/side sleeper). It arrived on time and unfurled out of the box without issue. It off-gassed for a few hours with minimal residual odor. So far no issues of foam loss - we'll see how durable the mattress is (reviews for other mattress companies have noted the durability loss over time). Wonderful mattress! —Emmie B

Great bed

I can't give it 5 stars because it's not perfect. I have significant back problems, and most days, I am pain free. Not always, but it's better than other mattresses I've tried. We started with the Purple 3. To me, this mattress is far better. My back hurts less and the price is significantly cheaper. I don't know if there is a perfect bed, but this is the best I've found. —Michael R

Helix Dual Balanced Hybrid Mattress Review

I like soft, he likes firm

We tried the Helix after ordering a Loom and Leaf, which we hoped would be a good firmness to please us both. It did not! The customized helix is soft on my side and firm on his, and it's perfect! I will say the motion transfer is not great as I can feel my spouse whenever he moves. The edge support is also pretty bad, you definitely cannot sit on the edge of the bed or it will try to dump you off. In the end, though, we bought the mattress to sleep on, and to that end it is living up to it's purpose! —Aaronrodgers'sgirl

Phenomenal -- best mattress ever!

My husband and I were sleeping on a mattress only 5 years old, but I've been struggling with a terrible bursitis in my hips. We have always loved a firm mattress, but I just couldn't bear it any more. We did extensive research and settled on a king Helix with the dual sides. Viola! It arrived quickly, easy set up, and wow is it perfect. My husband can still sleep on a very firm mattress on his side, and I now have the comfort and give that I need for my hips. Never slept so well. I would highly recommend this product without hesitation. —Robin R

Helix Dual Extra Hybrid Mattress Review

Took some breaking in but we love it!

Marriage doesn’t always mean compromise...finally my husband and I can sleep comfortably on our mattress of choice. Give this mattress 1 full month to break in (which was expected). I went for the most plush option but could still use a little more cushion...my dream is a pillow-top like mattress. I was worried I would feel movement when either one of us re-adjusts or gets out of bed but it hasn’t been an issue at all. —Lindsey G

So far so good

We replaced a foam mattress we loved at first but after 6 years it started to sag where we slept. We like the Helix because my wife likes very firm and I like more cushion. So far we are both sleeping better but the big thing is we are not waking up to back pain. I would only cite two small negatives. The edge does not have as much support as I would like and my side sleeps a little warmer than expected. Nothing major and could requested cooler when ordering. The big test is time I hope it holds up for 6 to 8 years before we replace. —Ross S
