intelliBED Legacy Indigo Hybrid Mattress Review
The mattress that I have been dreaming for
I have been aware of mattress comfort for many years – from having back surgery 38 years ago – due to a skiing accident. Because of this I had gotten used to a firm mattress over the years, which, while giving me the support that my back needed did not serve me for the inflammation sensitivity and subsequent rolling over at short intervals during the night. To accommodate both challenges I had been looking for a mattress with firmness and then trying to find the right memory foam overlayment to attempt to create a balance with some “cush factor”. This had become a quest for me over the years and rarely did I find anything that came remotely close to what I was looking for and was the reason I had paid attention to the original Intellibed advertisement on the Salt Lake radio years earlier. I think my quest was second only to the character of Goldie Locks from children’s fable infamy. Back to my Intellibed – I was impressed with the comfort factor balance - immediately – the notion of “soft when it needed to be soft and firm when it needed to be firm” was exactly what I had been seeking – with out actually saying it in those terms!! So hurray, now I only needed to test it out long enough to see if it were true in the long term.I am into my 6th month of using this bed – the only downside I have found is that I don’t want to travel anywhere that takes me away from the comfort of it!! In the long run it will have cost me more than I may realize in this way – I can no longer stay in inexpensive motels!! And even the higher priced hotels do not come near the comfort factor I have waiting for me at home – no travel incentive at all. —Tom Waterhouse
