I love this mattress! It is not as firm as the Verse, which I bought for my kids. It does have a "cotton" smell, which initially was very strongly to me. But it faded within a week (after airing the mattress out every day) and it's now hardly noticeable. — Tatiana
ORGANIC, COMFORTABLE TWIN MATTRESS.
Very pleased with this purchase. First, it came in this too-small-to-be-true box! The mattress is vacuum packed and travels very compactly for a mattress. Very easy to get upstairs compared to a regular twin mattress. Great directions on how to unpack the mattress, which came to full size within 15 seconds. The mattress is wonderful. Very comfortable for my child to sleep on. I have fallen asleep next to my children (we bought 2) many times on this very comfortable mattress. NATUREPEDIC EOS MICROCOILS ARE THE BEST!
I've tried all kinds of mattresses, but this is the best ever. I'm a middle aged gal who sleeps "hot," so anything with latex makes me toss and turn. I did a lot of research and found that micro coils on top of coils would be best for me. The EOS is just that. 14 months ago, I purchased the "comfort layer soft micro coils" for the 3" top layer, and took a chance on the "support layer plush coils" for the 8" bottom layer. I was worried it might be too soft, but it's perfect! I had been suffering from bursitis which disappeared after using this mattress. Naturepedic also offers a "layer swap" if you've purchased something that's a bit too firm or soft, but this wasn't an issue for me. This mattress is perfect! Even more than a year later, I can't be happier. You may be thinking that these mattresses are too expensive, but believe me, getting a good night's sleep is worth more than you think. Just perfect for me. Smelled like vanilla when I was putting it together. I have had the EOS classic for about 3 years now and I have never regretted it even for a day. Just make sure your house is clean because you'll want to keep it safe. I layer about 3 thick organic blankets to protect my investment. I like this company. I bought this bed about a year ago and I'm satisfied with it. I went with the coils over latex as my fiancé has a latex allergy, and i chose the softest option as i prefer a soft bed. It's very comfortable, and there is no chemical smell at all. NO CHEMICAL SMELLS BUT NOT VERY COMFORTABLE
I bought this bed to avoid the chemicals/smells in traditional mattresses and for the comfort. They definitely deliver on the no smells no chemicals promise however, the mattress is very firm and extremely uncomfortable. I have more pain from pressure points than I did with my previous mattress causing me to wake up numerous times every night. Hope it gets better because this was a major expenditure. —maryann15. The EOS Mattress from Naturepedic is a 12 inch organic mattress that can be fully customized. That means you can choose to go with springs and latex or if you have a latex allergy, go the all spring route. Naturepedic will substitute the top latex layer with micro coils that provide great cushioning and support underneath the thick mattress cover. A bit more expensive than many of the online competitors but it is a quality mattress inside and out. There aren’t that many organic spring mattresses out there that are this customizable. This is the only natural mattress I have reviewed where you can substitute the latex layer for a spring layer to avoid allergy issues. There was also no smell to this. Sometimes an all organic cover can smell like a sheep due to the wool batting but this one didn’t smell at all. Despite being a spring and latex/coil mattress, it handles motion transfer very well. That’s because not only the latex and microcoil systems are separate pieces, the base pocket coil system is two separate units as well. It’s great for side sleepers. Stomach and back sleepers will want to go for the medium and firm configurations.
