This is what I love about it
I ordered a split queen for multiple reasons: lighter weight of each layer, ability to customize, longevity of use. I like a firm mattress but I allowed myself to be talked into firm dunlop on the bottom, then medium dunlop, then soft talalay. It was way too soft. I then took the two medium dunlop layers and assembled firm, medium, medium. Too firm. The next try was firm, soft, medium on the top. That did the trick. Exactly the reason I ordered this mattress. I love the fact that I can change it as I like. I will say that it feels softer to sit on than I expected. But when I stretch out it feels firmer. And my hips no longer ache when I wake up. It's very easy to open, disassemble and reassemble. It came in boxes that I could handle myself although at 73 lbs each, they were heavy. (I'm a 65 yr old woman with arthritis.) No smells. The cover zips easily and the zipper works well. Overall I'm very pleased. I haven't tried the free pillows yet, I wanted to adjust to the mattress before I added another change. —Ann B
