The Allswell mattress was recommended in an article in the NYT as a good pick for a guest bedroom. It arrived in a timely manner, snuggly package in a compact box. The mattress seems very good quality, though I haven't slept on it. The only problem, which may be the unavoidable consequence of the packaging process, is removing the mattress from the plastic sleeve. The mattress arrives folded in half, and then rolled up and compressed, and then packaged in plastic. Removing the plastic without putting a tear in the mattress is a feat. - Shall. Bradenton, FL

Eh. It's Okay

I'd say I got what I paid for. After trying several other bed-in-a-box mattresses, I went with this one just to save some money. If I had paid more I would be very disappointed. It feels soft when you push on it with your hand or knee, but when you lay your body down, it doesn't give much and feels pretty firm. I'm a side sleeper and lots of the reviews made it seem like this would work for side sleepers, but not the case. Hurts the shoulders to side sleep. - Bennett. Charleston, Sc
