Construction & Feel
Nectar is an all-foam mattress with gel-infused memory foam comfort layers over a high-density polyfoam base. It has the classic memory foam feel — slow response, body contouring, and a gentle sinking sensation. DreamCloud is a hybrid with individually wrapped pocketed coils topped with foam comfort layers and a cashmere-blend cover. It has a more responsive, bouncy feel with a touch of plush cushioning on top.
Cooling
DreamCloud sleeps cooler. The pocketed coil system creates natural airflow channels that dissipate heat from below the foam layers. Nectar relies on gel infusions in the foam to manage heat, but as an all-foam construction, it will still retain more warmth than the hybrid DreamCloud. If you tend to sleep hot, DreamCloud is the better choice.
Support & Durability
DreamCloud's coil system provides better structural support, particularly for back sleepers and heavier individuals. The coils also improve edge support and overall durability. Nectar's all-foam construction is adequate for lighter and average-weight sleepers but may show impression marks sooner under heavier use.
Price & Policies
Both mattresses are priced at approximately $699 for a queen, both offer 365-night trials, and both come with lifetime warranties. The brands are owned by the same parent company (Ashley Global Retail). The decision comes down entirely to whether you prefer all-foam or hybrid construction.
